The BMW plant will be located in the Kaliningrad region

The BMW company is planning to build a full-cycle cars production enterprise for the local market. The new factory will be located in the Kaliningrad region, Russia. The cost of the project and other specifications are still not disclosed.

BMW cars production project will be implemented within the framework of a special investment contract. Specifications of this contract are now being agreed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and by the government of the Kaliningrad region.

The new factory will bring to pass the welding and body painting operations. Moreover, production of engines and transmissions will be established soon. Except Kaliningrad region, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Kaluzhskiy region were identified as a factory building platform.
