Specifics of arranging the import and installation of production equipment
The seminar will be given by the partners of the international law firm of Beiten Burkhardt

Program of the seminar:
- specifics of execution of contracts with foreign suppliers, including answers to the questions how to avoid the risk of contract invalidity or unenforceability, how to correctly choose a court to resolve the contractual disputes, how to secure the fulfillment of the manufacturer’s contractual obligations;
- problems of mixed contracts (delivery and installation supervision): correct definition of the subject and price of the contract;
- possibilities of cost optimization in respect of customs registration of the imported equipment: exemption from the VAT and reduction of customs duties;
- issues of taxation related to equipment import and installation;
- registration of rights to trademarks and software to be transferred together with the equipment;
- employment of foreign personnel seconded to Russia for the purpose of conducting the installation supervision and giving the necessary training.
